Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. Aspen Laddd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her amateur debut at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd went on to improve upon her victory on the night of Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She knocked out all her competitors in the initial round. After that, she went to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen as she beat Cynthia by a majority vote. Cynthia's amateur record was affected. Ladd returned from the loss, and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to make her record 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her for a 1st-round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her move to the weight class of Bantamweight following her bout with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's formidable wrestling ability defeated McGill, and she was able to stop her third round via TKO (elbows as well as punches). The next fight was against Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd fell short of weight. Aspen was a dominant Hoy and got her out at the end of round two via TKO. In her last fight for this promotion, Ladd beat Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 in the fight against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina as she pound her down in the second round to secure a TKO victory. In her next fight, she beat Tonya Evinger in a way that was even more spectacular. Ladd won over Evinger in the opening round and earned the night bonus. Sijara Eubanks of Invicta FC was her opponent for another rematch in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's debut major fight. The two fighters had an intense battle that concluded with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision with both fighters claiming the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her win streak. At the end of round three on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. As a replacement, she was able to take on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. She lost the fight via unanimous decision.
